Intro to Photography
This four-hour, in-person workshop is designed for beginners and aspiring photographers who want to move beyond automatic settings and start creating more intentional, confident images. Whether you’re shooting with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or iPhone, this class focuses on the foundational skills that make the biggest difference in your photos. You’ll learn how to understand and work with light, apply the fundamentals of posing, and use composition techniques that elevate your images, no matter the camera in your hands. This is a hands-on experience held inside a professional portrait studio, allowing you to practice in real time while receiving live guidance and feedback throughout the day. With a small group size limited to just eight attendees, you’ll receive personalized instruction, studio demonstrations, and practical tips you can immediately apply. Refreshments will be provided, and attendees will also enjoy giveaways and prizes during the workshop. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to approach photography with purpose, confidence, and creativity.
Cancellation Policy
All registrations for the Intro to Photography Workshop must be completed in advance through the online booking system. Due to the limited number of seats available, full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. Because this workshop is limited seats and requires advance preparation, all sales are final. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may gift your spot to another individual, provided you notify DVus Photography in advance with the replacement attendee’s name and contact information. This workshop is a one-time event scheduled for Saturday, January 24. There are no alternate dates or rescheduling options available for this class. Please plan to arrive on time. Late arrivals may miss important instruction and demonstrations. No refunds or credits will be issued for late arrivals or no-shows. DVus Photography reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the workshop in the unlikely event that minimum enrollment is not met. If this occurs, all registered attendees will be notified and issued a full refund or credit toward a future workshop. By registering for this workshop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this booking policy.
